Nope. I started by trying to get the fill plugs out. :broccoli:

I really don't know what I'm going to do now though. I guess I'll just keep hitting the diff drain plug with PB blaster for a couple weeks and see if it loosens up.

50/50 mixture of acetone and ATF works better than anything I've ever tried. A few squirts of that, hit it with some heat from a torch, repeat a few times. Don't heat it until it's HOT, just get it warm enough that it's uncomfortable to touch, then let it cool off a little and do it again. The heat cycles pull the penetrating fluid in through capillary action and it also causes the metal to expand and contract at different rates so it breaks the gunk loose that's in the threads. It's worked for me many times when I HAD to get a bolt out.

Is the fill plug a bolt or an allen? I can't remember.

On the front diff they're both 10mm Allen heads. Transfer case has 24mm

24mm hex bolt or allen? If it's a hex you have a lot more options. Are the corners rounded off? You can try a cheap 15/16" socket and hammer it on, as it would be a little tight, then pull them both off together. Sometimes a large pair of channel locks will give you enough leverage to get it out as well. You can also file down the sides and use a smaller socket, but that really sucks. No matter what, I'd have a new plug in hand to go in once the old one came out.

Gotcha. That makes sense. And its a hex bolt. They're rounded off. I'm a little pissed because I've never done this before which means the person who did it before was just careless.

Looks good. What other color would you go with? Or do you just not like the topper at all on the silver truck?

I definitely like the black on pretty much everything. I think it'll look better once I get my bumpers and sliders on

Yeah, do what dave said if you can. Then run by the dealer and grab a new one and a gasket ring set for the transfer case and diffs.

Could also cut a slight grove in it with a dremel and then take a cold chisel and tap it around. I had to do that on my front diff drain last week..
