I've got the total chaos kit on its way, should be delivered tomorrow. That'll go on saturday

 

In St. Louis and my bearing is going out. Gotthe new bearing at the auto parts store just in case for the 800 mile drive back. Wish they had the full assembly but I'll take what I can get. Glad I got AAA before the trip.
The east Tn over landers put the trip on not Bold. There was only one member from Bold on the trip and that was Tommy. It was just a group that wanted to go out west together.

nice! i have a buddy with a welder but i haven't welded anything in over 2 years. i need some practice before i start sticking stuff to the truck

Just hit it with a hammer a few times to make sure it stuck then say good enough.
I ran out of argon while welding my tabs. Kept going anyway. Beads look horrible but serve their purpose.

 

My welds aren't the prettiest but they're functional so that's all I care about.

I'm hoping my buddy's brother in law will be there because he's a fucking killer welder and I'm gonna try to get him to tig the tabs together

 

Let me put it in perspective. I own 1 welder.....and 5 grinders

 

i've taken a course in tig. would drive me nuts to have the welds look horrible

grinding welds isn't very fun...

 

Explaining to people why my welds look like the result of a nuclear accident is even less fun.....
