I could use some new rubber. Rears are balding on inner edge and noticed a decent gash in the tread on a front.

Would like to do tires and a lift at the same time.

Got the old tabs off, everything on the truck cleaned up and down to bare metal and ready to weld the new ones on in about an hour, hour and a half from the time I slid the jack under to where I'm at. Gonna weld them on in the morning. Instructions say to drill out the spots but it took me 10 minutes to get all 8 off with an air hammer.

My bias plys have been holding up great. Even run them on the street at 20 to 25 psi for comfort and still get 16 mpg :)

    $1600

Comments. Advice. Opinions. I like the L1 kit a bit more. Would suit what I do/want to do just fine I think. Mostly DDing and wheeing 4/5 times a year. Coupled with some nice 285/75/16 ATs and maybe a locker, I should be able to do quite a bit off-road.

Going to avoid 5100s n such. Read a lot of "I had 5100s....."

Soon enuff with the scrappin/5 Star google Review Bonus'/Farming. Farming is getting close to harv. Should speed the process up a good bit. Because Gideon's Sig.

I sit at the kitchen table, strip out or unsheathe scrap wire, blaze with Rach and check TW on my phone. You're jealous. I know.

@2TRunner level one doesn't have a rebuildable coilover. It is also a 2.0 which will not give you much lift without a lot of preload making it ride rough. They would go well with a 2wd and a spindle lift. However level 2 is rebuildable coilovers which is nice because rebuilding them is very cheap. Also will have to have less preload to get the lift you want with a better ride than level 1

The price difference is for rebuildable coils and resi shocks then?

Rebuildable, and 2.5 coilovers instead of 2.0. Plus I think headstrong gives tacomaworld people discounts?

I would 100% prefer to NOT have to change out UCAs. It opens a whole other can of worms that I financially do not want to deal with right now. Do the lift, do the tires, do a locker or something and roll. See how I feel about bumpers later. Crush the OE up, make it really worth needing replaced.

UCAs means alignment, means LCA seized bolts (and insuing nonsense), means fucked up tabs. Time, money and effort I am not into at the moment.

Apologize for the questions. Am using the search function in conjunction with my questions. Would really like to plan out the best and most useful/functional lift for my truck. Ya'll already know 90% of the answers and I don't have endless hours to search and search.

Welded the driver's side on, and my buddy wanted to weld the passenger side on. He's on the 2nd of 4 and just said "fuck this, I'm about to let you crawl back under this thing."

The jury is in though, still a grinder and not a welder.

How old is your truck? Seized bitks shouldn't be an issue. You'll need an alignment after front lift anyways as you'll have to losen the lca to get the strut in\out.
