    And you know what I ment by regear. Yes, rear only would fuck you up. But you could and should easily be able to look into gears for FRONT and REAR. As long as you kept the gear ratio difference within 1% of each other, you'd be fine. Jeeps run 5.13 or 5.29 no problem, you've got room to go from 4.88, you can go to even shorter gears.

    This Land Cruiser site has 5.29 all over it. You can go shorter. Just change front and rear gears. Your engine/trans really doesn't give a fuck what gears it pushes. It's just a means to turn the driveshaft. The real magic is in those diffs. Transmission...transmit....

    Nitro makes 5.29 gears for the 8.4" rear but not the 8" clamshell. I think it was Mike, aka better half of the C Team, that found a company that makes 5.29s for the front but they're someone I've never heard of. That's also a lot of really thin teeth in a small ring gear. That may turn into the front ends weak point.

    There's a company named "Dorman" that makes 5.29's for gen 2 front diffs. Anything higher (lower numerically) in their catalog has a 50K mileage warranty. The 5.29 does NOT. That speaks to it's lack of strength. I've got a connection with Motive Gear. The lowest they offer for this application is 4.88.

    is there a minimum amount to take in?

    i'm trying to get rid of old computer stuff. Aluminum cases, lots of wires/cables. Might keep the titanium though, for reasons.

    google shows a couple recycling shops specific to computers here. Do those places usually pay you for the material or are they just there to make you feel good about the environment by not using landfills?

    We have a contract with Good Will. We pay them $50 if it's one PC, or 100 PC's.

    A scrap place will pay you, something. But I doubt it would be much.

    They don't pay as much as Metal Management but they are a much smaller yard and get you in and out pretty quick. If you don't want to go there, there are multiple yards within like a 10 mile radius of eachother but not all will take just any metal you have. Iskiwitz takes just about anything. All these yards are in the ghetto so be aware of that. I've never felt uncomfortable but for someone who isn't around that environment often .... let's just say keep an eye out.

    ha. I seen some shit back in college...
    Use to wander the city all hours. Just walking around. That was Atlanta and did it in Spain and Germany during a study abroad program too.
    As long it's clear to them that you know what's up and don't give a fukc, never had a real problem. (But things did go into that area of true questionable safety a few times)

    edit: when i told the wife some stories, she said i was subconsciously looking for a way to bust out my jujitsu skills.
