I'm trying to figure out which organs are in high demand that I can live without, so I can get a locker and armor up!

 

Tell me your secrets! I avg 18ish on my 21 mile commute to work

 

Small engine+small truck+don't drive like an ass.

 

Your truck might actually weigh less than mine too. The cap probably helps with the aero's too.

 

I also drive like I have somewhere to be. That's why we all own vehicles, right? To take us places?

Because Ohio sure as fuck doesn't feel that way in the left lane...

 

No idea how much lighter 1st gens were stock, but I'd guess I've probably made up the difference with the shell, bumper, skids, sliders, 5 big tires...

Shells don't do shit for mpg. Maybe they help aerodynamics, but if they do the benefits are negated by weight.

It's crazy to watch the instantaneous mpg on the scangauge. Single digits and low teens are common while accelerating from a stop.

 

well according to the movies "Crank", you'll need guns, vajayjay, and drugs to live without organs.

I WAS getting 19 to 21 mpg with mine back when it had 265's, and a lot less crap bolted on it. I drive like an old man MOST of the time.

Then 285's....Then gears....Then bumpers/winch/skids/etc...

15 to 16 now. Less when the skinny pedal turns to a light switch (all the way on or all the way off)

Mo better fun to drive though!
