I looked at those too, but this was a really good deal on the Spartans and everyone I heard from has had a pretty good experience with them, and some places said they were built a little stronger. Mainly it just came down to price

I'm semi new to the area. I just camped at land between the lakes and was impressed. What's another good spot in the area I can explore and camp with my RTT?

 

Not sure what's near you; I live in Memphis. But we usually go to Arkansas for cool trails and camping. Ozark National Forest is great for primitive camping, Hot Springs and Crowley's Ridge are great if you don't mind camp sites

See above. It's an off-road park that a bunch of guys are going to in November. You can camp and probably hitch a ride with somebody if you don't wanna drive

Has anyone tried Aetna Mountain Adventures in Chattanooga? Just stumbled across on the old interweb. Hard to tell if it's worth the drive.
