Looks cool. However, that's not really what I'm looking for. The thing that has drawn me to wheeling in the challenge. Driving down dirt roads isn't fun anymore because my truck and my driving capabilities have outgrown it. Fortunately, both my truck and myself are still in their infant stages of wheeling. Places like AOP provide endless challenges. Tons of things that I will struggle with or fail at completely. Some of them will be a lost cause, but some I will overcome while learning how to be a better driver, and/or in what area my truck is lacking (usually driver probs haha). It's so fun to me to try something cool, something that scares me and overcome it. Likewise, failing at something and learning from it is great too. I am so far from being a good driver its crazy, but I want to get there. That's why I'm looking for the challenge.

The awesome thing about the spring LBL meet is that its a great spot for everyone to get comfortable driving. It's free, there's a very slim chance of damaging anything, and those mud pits are enough to push the nerves of the inexperienced. When I first attended three years ago, the "wheeling" there was awesome, because I was brand new at it. It's still a ball now because of the party that ensues. Haha.

Roger that..this may be a cool place for guys in our area to try on the way home from Wind Rock. I've talked with my buddy and he said Dry Creek is a cool ride but likely too easy also for more advanced rigs.

Oh yea! Hell, if it was closer to home I'd be in. Just don't want to drive a couple hours to ride a 2wd trail. (except at March lbl, i'm in for that catastrophy)

This sounds like our whole group. Haha I think we all came up the same or are still coming up the same. Started out ignorant, grow confidence with every trip, grow your truck as your skill grows, always looking to become better, constantly need more challenges, keep your kids away from Everett, I love meat salads.

I stupidly did the most I ever did in my 5 lug at windrock. Not sure that really helps.

Thought I was gonna die going downhill. 5 lug brakes....not ment for that shit. Shopping cart feeling going down rock hills standing on my brakes. Some 4Lo/Lo Gear woulda helped.....

Kurt was pretty stock last time I was there, iirc.

It has been 9 years since I’ve been there so it’s hard to remember. And then I was on a 4wheeler. Maybe someone else can chime in. Worse case you can hop in with someone.

The moons have aligned and I'm actually scheduled off that weekend with nada planned....so count me in!

Too much drifting. Haha we did have a good weekend last weekend in Nashville though. Practice went good. The car ran and performed flawless as usual. The nitrous we added down low to spool the turbo gave us v8 like low end torque and made the car much easier to drive without needing to clutch kick. This was our first time drifting on a bank track and we ended up qualifying 13 out of 16 for the comp. Got a bye in the first round because the other guy broke his trans. Then we were 1 of 6 cars left in the competition when the rain storm and tornado came through. After it was over, they couldn't get the track lights to come back on so after a brief drivers meeting, they called the event for safety reasons and we split a win and an $8k+ total pot so we walked away with around $1400. This was only our second competition and we were just happy to qualify, considering most of the field was pro 2 drivers and Canada Formula D drivers/teams.
