    To be honest I wondered the same thing, but I've seen a couple posts that say this is when they've swapped the bearings. More than likely it's just because they're already in the area and removed the wheel anyway.

    I mean, who the hell drys papers for a living!?

    If you are swapping out the coilover and ucas, that's about half way to getting to where the needle bearing is. You then need to remove the hub center cap, axle nut and lca to knuckle bolts to swing the knuckle out of the way. Then you can pull the axle out where you will find the needle bearing. Driver side only though. If you pull the pass side you will find ball bearings. Reason for this is the construction of the front diff puts the center of the pumpkin off the the driver side leaving a hollow shaft on the pass side and creating a leverage point.The ball bearings are much stronger then the needle bearings so use the needle bearing on the short side.

    The problem that occurs is when you lift your truck it puts the axles at a more obtuse angle and ends up putting more pressure on those bearings. The ball bearings hold up, the needle bearings don't. So you ask, why didn't they just use the ball bearings on the driver side too? Idk how to answer that but they built it to be just fine on an OEM truck with stock degree axle shafts. Haha

    have any of you ever put seafoam, amsoil cleaner, or some other additive into your motor oil? Think it did anything?

    I did seafoam through my throttle body and fuck, it shot out all kinds of shit through the exhaust. Take a look at your throttle body. If it's dirty on top or around the butterfly door then you know it's dirty inside the motor as well. That shit will clean it out. Also some kind of fuel additive will work the same with cleaning the injectors out.

    When you do it, it shouldn't be a noticeable difference. If you've let the engine get that bad then your main concern should be with being better about regular maintenance. I run a bottle of something with a tank of gas about once a year just because. But there's not much of an argument to the science behind certain chemicals cleaning out fuel deposits and oil sludge
