I’ve got a “lightly” used set of 255 75R17 STT Pros for sale if you go that route. They only have about 10k miles on them.

 

The stock air box is not sealed... any water high enough to get to the air box, would kill the engine unless you've gone through great measure to make it perfectly sealed. Moving helps.... I feel like we've been over this a half dozen times in as many threads. Is the horse dead yet?

Cut head of old bolt. Install new bolt upside down. No, it won't slide out if torqued properly - other vehicles have it installed that way. This is how I did mine. I've had it installed for ~25k miles, I've checked the torque, it hasn't budged. You could even install a 2nd nut to lock it if that makes you feel safe (there's enough space on the bolt to do so)

I'm sure they would. A 255 is more tall skinny. Tim is a good dude and will give you a fair deal.

Also, other people have said this and I mirror it .... do your lift yourself. I know you say you don't have the means to do it but other people do and are willing to help for much less then what a shop would charge. We aren't all master mechanics but most of us are very familiar with our trucks. This forum is a fantastic place to find help for these exact things to keep someone like you from having to pay a bunch of money for something that you CAN do yourself. Just ask. It may surprise you

Am I missing something?

My 3rd member seems to be one with my axle housing. All of the nuts are removed holding it to the housing. Axles are out. Should it be really hard to separate?

 

IF it's the first time it's been out it still has the orange RTV, which is like concrete lol. I'm assuming you have disengaged the axles from the diff....

 

Yes it should. Put a floor jack under the pinion, apply some pressure, and when you make a gap between the 3rd and the axle get a big ass pry bar in there to start working it loose. It's "stuck" on there via the gasket.

Watch out that 3rd is crazy heavy!
