Mississppi is OC/CC friendly as long as you have a permit. Don't know about Texas though. Best place to call is the issuing office within the state which you need to know. Usually the state police, if not they can direct you. Try to avoid local agencies they are often incorrect (through my own experience) in the information they give.

Indiana honors Tennessee HCP. Under Indiana law they honor all permits under the conditions in which the home state is. If you have to carry concealed thats how it is, luckily Tenn HCP allows both.

Kentucky is pretty loose too. Identical to Tennessee and Indiana.

Now Ohio is another story. If you conceal there and you will be fine. Open carry in Ohio can be sticky. It's just a hassle that can be avoided by CC'ing. Police will often harrass people who OC in Ohio.

I found a place I'm going to try to get pics soon. (The water is down and looks like a nice picture spot. The rocks are usually under water or at the shoreline. There is a bridge/path that is usually underwater that gets you to the other side.)

also looks like maybe with a lift and maybe snorkel you could drive all the way across. looks like it’s not very deep and you can see the road all the way across under the water.
