I have a 30 gallon stand up Craftsman it works great. Get something that can run air tools, because you will for sure buy them.

Campbell-Hausfeldt 3-1/2hp w/30 gallon tank. I've had it for 30 years. Still see em at a number of places (most recently @ HomeDepot) I used to paint farm tractors, have ran air tools, and inflated hundreds of tires.

Keep condensation drained, change oil occasionally, and maintain air filter.

    I don,t like oil-less. Usually noisey

I had a 1st gen Tacoma single cab, I am 6'3" and the only reason I was uncomfortable driving it was because the bench seat sucked. That single cab had way more leg room than my Jetta did. @Kerleyfries can attest

As far as brands, I personally avoid harbor freight as much as possible (some things are okay knowing you have to fix/modify them for best use). I would go with something with a little larger tank so its not cycling constantly. We have a 90 gallon screw compressor at our shop and it will even cycle quite often when multiple air tools are being used along with the machines; volume is your friend within reason and of course your budget! If I had to choose between Rigid and DeWalt I would pick DeWalt with a bigger tank if available.

Oil-less air compressors tend to be cheaper made compressors as well; the average light around-the-house user probably wont know the difference though. 100% agree on the condensation; we have auto drains on all of our air outlets as well as the main air line in our shop. My dad actually used to work at Campbell Hausfeld, unfortunately they don't make things like they used to:(
