the 2.7 is weak sauce need more power!!! My folks 99 with the 2.4 mpg drops off significantly with their cap on vs off.

More power won't translate to better mpg. Comparatively, the 4.0 and 2.7 are near identical in terms of miles per smiles. The benefit of the v6 is more HP and TQ values, the drawback is initial price tag.

My only other choice of Tacoma in my area was, I think, a 2008 dcsb v6 sport or OR with crapomatic, and almost 100k miles with a much higher cost than my truck. It might have been newer than 08, actually, but I wasn't going to pay near new price for something pushing 100k miles. And automatic slush box transmission.

Eh yes and no you can get better mpgs loaded with more power bc you can move that weight easier. But it does not nessicaraly get better mpgs all the time. I was more giving you crap by having the 2.7 since you were talking about a turbo previously.

What's wrong with an auto :(:anonymous:

I get around fine in my 2.slow :D

I just have a certain disposition about autos. None are made quite right until you get into higher end vehicles.
This manual transmission is no dream, don't get me wrong, but if rather have a clunky 1st to 2nd than no feedback and very little gearing choice at all. That said, don't think I've driven anyone's auto truck more than a few yards.

Eh idk I've seen them all be craptastic. But there are some manuals that I hate as well bc of poor design. I drove manuals forever now I'm just lazy!

My daughter already has her first car if I don't sell it before she gets to be 16 and it's a manual

Do the steel wheels have same backspacing as factory alloys? I need tires and want to jump to 285s w/ 3"ish of lift. I'm reading conflicting stories of UCAs rubbing though. May just get mild spacers

    Jesus tires are expensive

Good for you and her man! I'd keep it. Driving a manual is a lost art. She'll either blow up the transmission or learn to put the damn phone down lol

I leak fuel if I got much over 75 tops. Doesn't add up honestly. I probably stand in the fuel tank more than you, I just drive like I have somewhere to be. Hence, owning a vehicle in the first place.

This Sunday. AOP day trip. Hard trails. Big rocks. Who wants to go?

It’s goong to be 55-60* and sunny with two days before to dry the mountain a little. Should be perfect.

    If you’ve never been...
It’s a freaking awesome park. Not stock friendly. Sliders and skids will be missing lots of paint afterwards. No sliders and skids? Well, do the math. I will have one open seat if someone wants to ride.

    :burnrubber:
