I have a degree in engineering/occupational safety and ergo(Graduate safety practioner) ... with multiple certifications. I remember taking those tests they were brutal..getting my CSP next year not excited to start studying for that...

My next test is for my CCRN. My wife says it's the single hardest test she's taken. I'm pretty excited about that.

It was my ASP/CSP tests. The ASP was not THAT bad. The CSP sucked, I almost ran out of time and half way through the test I swore I failed. When I saw pass, I stared at the screen for about 5mins thinking my brain had melted and I was halucinateing.

Great to know I’m not excited about it at all... good to know someone else does stuff like that though here.

LOL. Doesn't everyone have dead bodies in the freezer at work?

I design surgical tools and implants. So sometimes we have to perform surgery on bodies to see if stuff works the way we meant it to.

Yes. Lots of bodies in our work freezer too. All four legged or feathered though.

That’s freaking cool, dude. I knew you were smart, but damn... that’s a whole new level.

I got hit with a bunch of radiation questions which sucked. It's just a draining test. Did 12yrs in safety, now I'm running the team that sets the engineering standards, fleet equipment specs, maintenance programs and technical training for everything that doesn't have wings (I work for an airline).

I wish I was back in safety, this new job sucks.

Agreed. To hell with radiation training.
Did a project once with the processing equipment to make brachytherapy seeds.
Those seeds are titanium cylinders about 1mm diameter that are welded closed over a radioactive core piece that gets put in a needle and inserted up through the taint to treat prostate cancer. And treatments always involve multiple seeds. Reasonably effective but I still cringe at the idea of ever needing it.

Had it done....Sounds far worse than it actually was. Biopsy was worse. Procedure worked like a charm. 2-time cancer survivor.

Hearing it said "you have cancer" changes your outlook on life. Surviving makes pain and discomfort far more tolerable. Thanks for what you do.
