Any suggestions on what to upgrade next on the exterior I would like to black out the chrome but what should I use

 

Do some build thread stalking for inspiration. Myself, @Justinogo @BYJOSHCOOK @Snowy @slander all have builds linked in our signatures. Builds ranging from mild to wild.

For the chrome...

Sand it reallllly good. Use self etching primer followed by paint of your choice then clear coat. The whole process is detailed in my build. Page # referenced on the first page under exterior. I chose to color-match.

Yeah, I'm pretty scarred from my little disaster. Sucks getting stranded and throwing away everything from the flywheel back except for the tcase.

Protection with visibility is the biggest thing for me. I've laid my driver door hard into rocks before that would have been in my hip without them.

Having A/C just blowing over you is pretty nice honestly plus xtra cab for the win that has speakers under the quarter glass

Slot the the top bolt hole so the door are easy to lift off and set back on. I typically just run the top bolt on my door so its just loosening two bolts and lifting the doors off to change over.

On my third gen 4Runner I just hit the chrome grill with self etching primer and satin black after, no real sanding prep. It held up pretty well for about 100k, just regular rock chips from use. I'm sure it would have held up even better if I had sanded it but I called it good enough for my needs.

 

All the shits packed and out. T-Minus 2 weeks till we drive out. So sick of this damn state lol

Nah. Go in, pick ur gun, maybe a few min wait while they check you background, pay and walk out with your new gun. Worst I've ever had to wait was a day and that was inly because the nics system was acting up the first day.
