Be interesting to see how well it holds against the elements. You should try an source a piece of Stainless to put on top or a complete replacement. So you'll have a clean area you can use for food prep.

I have plenty of places for food prep. This is for the stove and maybe a water jug. I've used the plastidip wood technique in the past and it works well. You just have to make sure you get a nice thick coat on, and you might need to reapply from time to time.

This is great. I have a great story like this where the guy followed me home and it ended much worse. I'd rather not tell on the internet but I love people like that guy because usually hes not the one who is gonna actually do anything, let alone give the ass whoopin. Good job on responsibly dealing with the world around you.

Update on this for those who care.

I removed my sway bar, but the noise is still there.

I took a video of my suspension components, but nothing looks off and you can't actually hear the noise in the video over the road/engine noise.

After spending the last couple of days really paying attention to it while driving, I'm 99.5% convinced that it is actually a driveline issue somewhere. Maybe a u-joint? Couldn't get the noise on video from any angle, but can hear it in the cab, and also can absolutely feel it in my feet.

There's and obvious "lag" in a connection somewhere upon acceleration from a complete stop, which causes the first clunk. Going over speedbumps, it's not the up or down travel that causes a noise, it's as soon as I start moving forward again after the bump. There's a really obvious "grinding" feeling directly following the speedbump.

I took it to a shop, where they checked the suspension (as I have many times already) and found nothing wrong. The guy rode with me and said he couldn't hear the noise (go figure).

I'm about to lose my mind. Highly considering trading the truck in for a 4Runner.
