I’ve finished a good majority in my life, some competitions. I had though the fish would be deeper right now anyway. I’ll just see what I can hook into lol

From the talks of it, I’d bring a couple
If I was you, I would bring a couple rods with lightweight line and throw small jigs and drop shots if you got any. Other then that it’s a fun lake around this time. Haven’t fished it in a couple of years but it fishes like a lake here in Knoxville that’s identical. If you have some crankbaits or silver buddies I’d bring those too. Other then that, enjoy the stay out there. It’s beautiful this time of the year and in my opinion, the best time to go.

Thanks guys. These are the things I am looking at. I don't so much care for the Veterans stuff as I will be retired. I can go nearly anywhere for medical at that point. Wife on the other hand will need a good job in a clinic/hospital which usually means bigger cities.

We don't mind the weather. Shes from Kansas which is about the same, hot as fuck summers, freezing ass winters. I am not a Cali person, just so you all know. And TN was just something she brought up as "nevers hears about it" while watching Mariota play (I am an Oregon fan). Jobs, schools, and cost of living are our main points we are looking at. We don't mind traffic after spending 5 years in Seattle, don't mind the country as we are living in a country town in CA, and shes from KS. Just looking for a complete change of pace I guess when I retire.

‘Sup TN? I’m two weeks into my new to me 2018 TRD Sport. Are there any groups/clubs in the Nashville area? Looking for some people to hang out with, learn from, maybe do some trail rides with. Not new to off roading. Former Wrangler owner... Don’t know squat about IFS or much of anything Toyota.

Another great thing about TN to note: no income tax on salaries/wages! Doesn't do you much good when you retire, but it's pretty great before you do. Side note, stocks & bonds are taxed at 6%.

I'm only retiring from the military. Still going to work... which is part of the reason I kept looking into TN, no income tax. A lot of other states tax my military retirement as income and I am trying to avoid giving people money I worked hard for (I would go into politics... but I haven't been banned yet).

I'm an RN and I work in the CVICU at our best heart hospital here in Nashville. Pay will not be anything like what she would see in California, but it's definitely negotiable. There's a huge nursing shortage right now. We have several good hospitals in town though, depending on what would interest her.

Not really worried about pay so much if the cost of living is better. Seattle she made 34 an hour. Here we haven't even looked what it'll be, but likely same pay. Kansas she would only make 18-20 an hour depending on the place she worked. If I can find a job I suspect I can get (training and education go a long ways), she probably won't need more than part time.

Again, few years away. And we would never consider CA home. Military moves me where they want to move me... for 3 more years.
