Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.

Like 4 years ago, furnace wasn't working in my house. Tech used a screwdriver to tap a fan blade and get it all going. Quoted $600 to replace a motor. Told him I could tap it with a screwdriver for a while at that price. It seizes a little in off season but once you get it broke free and spooled up, works fine rest of winter.

Finally fixed it. Myself. Part was $130 on Amzn for exact replacement (same brand and model with a warranty) and only took me 15 minutes to install. So basically, hvac company was looking for a little profit on parts plus about $1000/hr labor? Geez.

kit from coastal offroad. The side protection bars are kind of custom. They’re designed to be run a different way, but we cut and welded them different.

dave’s come off the side at an upwards angle, mine are actually notched to sit on the corners. All of the pictures are of his, but the very last picture is mine and you can see the difference
