I think a break in is recommended, but I also know a couple of people who have broken theirs in on an LBL wheeling trip and not had an issue....

Went for a quick trip to nemos tunnel and was not let down. The park after the tunnel was so much fun

It’s a possibility. Just have to see what’s going on when you all are going.

Talked to Will @ east coast gear supply. My diffs are on the table being built said about a week out right now so should see them next week. Anyone got a tutorial on breaking down the rear to put the third in? The front is easy as I’ve had that stupid thing in and out more times than I want to admit.

Pull the brake lines and shafts, disco the driveshaft, then unbolt the third and you’re done

    No! Mine first!

I really don't know where mine is in their lineup, but last Tuesday, I was told about 2 weeks.

    Things, stuff, and whatnot.
Lift, remove wheels, all that shit.
    Drain the diff.
    Disconnect driveshaft.
Unbolt brake lines from the mounts on the axle all the way across.
Pull the metal clips out that hold the brake hardlines into the bracket.
Cut a 1/4" slit into the hole in the bracket where the hardline is on the driver's side.
Slide the brake line out of the bracket.
Take off the 4 nuts on the axle flanges on both sides and slide the axles out 4-6". Rest the hubs on jack stands so the axles aren't resting on the outer seals.
Unbolt the ABS sensors and remove.
Unbolt all the diff housing bolts.
Tap the pinion with a dead blow and slide the third out.
Clean the housing out with brake clean and rags.
    Install is reverse of removal.

Cutting the bracket adds 30 seconds of extra work, but keeps you from disconnecting the brake lines so you don't have to bleed them later.

That’s exactly what I was looking for. I knew somewhere I saw someone did it without disconnecting the brake lines but couldn’t for the life of me figure out where I saw it.

I'm sending my rear in as core after I get the new one, but yes, ordered a new build. Just easier that way since I don't have a 2nd vehicle.
