    If you want hot chicken don't get a sandwich, get a half bird. Prince's is the original. Hattie B's is probably the most tourist friendly and have excellent sides (I recommend the pimento mac n cheese, southern greens, and definitely get the banana pudding). Bolton's is the hottest chicken in town.

    so I just remembered this. This is what Fox sent me when I requested a rebuild..

    Also I was talking to Rock Your 4x4 about something else and asked about this. Drew said they do not rebuild shocks, and recommend you send them to the manufacturer.

    I'm looking at going through AccuTune for my setup but the thought of leaving my truck on jack stands in the garage doesn't sound ideal. Guess I don't have a choice really.

    Well, I see a lot of 'Take-Offs' come up for sale here and on craigslist etc, maybe you can find a set of cheap OEM suspension pieces just so you can keep it drivable?

    I miss Whataburger too. Worked all over Texas back in the late 80s. There is talk that Whataburger is looking to expand into the Nashville area. I heard the hot chicken thing was developed just to attract tourist. Personally, not a big fan. Although I can do it when its paired with some waffles.

    I’m pretty sure no one around Knoxville rebuilds shocks. I’ve took my truck to Jason at Rock Your 4x4 once when he had his small shop off the end of Clinton Hwy and he was cool then. Now he doesn’t want to make the time to even talk to you. Drew there is pretty cool but he can be pretty rude as well. Lol. Your basically on your own In Knoxville and if you got deep pockets and want to wait a month+ For repairs/lifts or what have you.

    Yeah they are like 2.5 months out pretty much all the time it seems like. I was thinking the other guys name was Jesse, but maybe i was wrong. He helped me out with some great advice last fall on short notice. Looked at a problem i had that i didnt know where to start and he jumped right under there and told me what I needed to do and that was really helpful for me. It just seems like they are busy all the time, which is great for them i guess. But its a pia if you need their services.

    That’s it right there. Top guns custom is a joke, two guys and a garage are alright and rocky top customs is outrageous. They all realize this market is taking off and everyone is jumping in it. Jason at Rock Your 4x4 is the owner and he knows some people with money so he does custom builds half the time. Not to mention almost all the shops around here are Jeep guys lol.

    @Knoxdavid34

    Not even remotely true, but it has ballooned since Nashville became an IT city and there has been a larger market for it.

    If you go to Prince's, don't expect the food to be fast, also don't expect great service. That's just how it is there.

    TRD Off Road sticker. Not the whole package, just the sticker.
    Are you trying to change the valving too or just wanting them rebuilt?

    That's the way I like it.

    I will probably be getting to-go though because I'll have my dog with me and don't want to be going into restaurants and whatnot. Even though I won't really be exposed to anyone at that point, just the principal of it.

    I had a Truetrac put in from a shop in Knoxville in my F150 years ago and the guy hammered the shims in until they were mushroomed. Since then I have tried to do everything I can myself. No one cares about my rigs as much as I do, so I had to learn, and now I love it..

    When we have gone to Titans games and stay downtown in Nashville we would always go to Acme for hot chicken sandwiches before walking over the pedestrian bridge to tailgate near the stadium. They are pretty good, but not exactly what a purist would call authentic.

    YIKES.

    Remember who it was by chance? Also, I’ve got a guy here and he is a millwright but That’s as far as I’ll go because he’s my ace in the pocket if I can’t get it done.
