Ok so how many trucks are showing up and I need directions from Blountville. Thinking about showing up for this (with my Xrunner)
5PM seems late if your driving to Cades Cove and taking pictures before dark. Of course i'll have to stay on the hardtop when we get to cades cove.
I dont do dirt with the Xrunner.

first, I love your x! One of my favorite trucks on tacoma world. As of now we have 3 for sure. about 3 others are a maybe. not sure where the five guys is so yeah, I might follow you out there zach. I do know that from the motor mile its about 30-40 mins to cades cove and like zach said, it doesnt get dark till like 9.
And no worries, ill be staying on the tarmac as well. my trucks only 2wd. We should still be able to get good pics

Oh and gunner, my iphone says you need to take interstate 81 south, then take exit 1b to merge onto I-40 w toward knoxville, then stay on I-40 w, take exit u.s. 129/alcoa hwy/Tn 115 toward smoky mountains, mcghee tyson airport. follow alcoa hwy signs and stay on alcoa hwy. The five guys is almost to maryville, past mcghee tyson. I guess look for discount tire like zach said. I hope this helps, and you could use map quest. Thats probably what I would do.

Have FUN guys--Every thing is REAL GREEN--light rain again this AM.
You might want to check to see what time they lock the gate(at the cove)--think it is at dusk.
Should be a nice ride--Avoid Pigoen Forge and Gatlinburg TRAFFIC--Been pretty busy here..Townsend route would be best for less traffic.
    Lots of animals this year--
