I'm going with a couple jeep guys too. Anyone's welcome to come but noone on here has said anything about going. 2 weeks ago was the last time I went and we picked up my buddies that had broken down at the subdivision and just waited with the security guard. When we got there, we got them and their stuff and headed back up the mountain. No problem at all with them.

Ha, no issues with TWRA other than being allergic to tickets...good guy...mild mannered and all...we all even work for TVA, so clean records and all...but when he gets in his jeep, he always manages to push it just a leeetle to far, followed by a gasp from onlookers, followed by 'Oh sh*t Greg"...not that we all havent done it once or twice ourselves...it just always seems to happen to him everytime we go out. Driver induced...

Im waiting to see the outcome of my latest addition to my truck. Like getting a ticket for having an obscured tag. We have speed cameras on one of the routes I frequent...and I hate having to always worry if Im going a little to fast and get a surprise in the mail a few days later with a nice pic of my truck and a $50 bill...so I took an old computer monitor cover...the ones that you can only see when you are looking a them dead on...cut it to the size of my license plate and put it over my plate. You can still see it perfectly directly behind me...but if you get off to either side or above...such as a speed camera high up on a post, its solid black. :brianr::headbang:

My license plate cover for red light and speed cameras. Any guesses on how long before I get pulled over?

Its clearly visible from directly behind and within a few degrees of center...but someone in the lane beside me cant see it. You can see Im only a couple feet off center and its totally black. Gotta love recycled computer monitor privacy screens.

    Quote from a forum from 2005 forums.officers.com:
"Tinted covers are specifically illegal in Tennessee. Many people don't realize that anything that obstructs the license plate in any way (including clear ones) is a violation of the state law. They're great for a pretext stop. I've seen some guys get some good arrests because of those plates."
