yikes. i remember reading something on this a while ago and something that one guy said was talking about trying to blind the cameras. infrared lighting that would shoot up in the camera direction which would blind it.

 

Hey guys.its time to replace my bulbs again. One of my PIAA plasma glow gt-x's just burned out and I got a citation for it. So opinions on some replacement bulbs or stick with the PIAA's? I've really liked these I just wish the color was more apparent. They have a somewhat purplish tint to them on low and go bright white for high beams. Just wondering if you guys have an experience with another other. Thanks guys

 

well there you go.

one DB shot one with a gun and got arrested and had to pay for a new one. knoxville just got 1 or 2 more and have 1 to 3 more coming in a few months. i hate the damn things.

idk, all i have is stock bulbs. at least i think... if only one is out stay with those. and the citation is no big deal at all it’s just a fix it ticket. just get a new bulb, go and show that you fixed it and it go’s by by and you should not have to pay or anything.

 

Well its 83 damn bucks to get that new seal....

 

So far I love it. I've already put some wheels on it, debadged and powdercoated the calipers red. I ended up going with the FN Bfd wheels in satin black. Exhaust is my next addition, can't decide on what to put on for the sound I'm looking for. I'm getting around 18 mpg, so it's not too far off of what my Tacoma was getting.

I would but I drive a lot of highway miles to and from work, and the drone would drive me crazy. I'm looking at the TRD true dual and the Gibson 2 in 2 out system. They sound mean straight-piped though!

 

I don't know about tundras, but my Tacoma has no drone at all with a muffler delete. My TRD had a terrible amount of drone. But yeah, they sound sick straight piped!

 

Yall would hate to ride in my truck then. Headers, flowmaster super 44, and a turndown equal plenty of drone. I love it.

 

Hmmm, now I'm back to not knowing. I've listened to some sound clips on Youtube of various options, but the video looks to be taken with a smartphone and the audio is terrible. The trd and borla seem to be the most mellow, but I haven't heard either at constant speed. The Gibson has a throatier sound to it at idle, and gets pretty loud under throttle.
