I have no clue what im doing but im about to make an attempt at pulling my coils off and replacing them with the fj suspension........ if anyone can find a how to on any sites i would appreciate it. ive read alot on doing it but havent found any pictured how to's! wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jack the truck up, take the wheel off, unbolt the c/o from the top mount (should be 3 nuts), unbolt the sway bar mount, unbolt the lower c/o mount, push down the lca until the top bolts come out, wiggle it around a lil bit, pull that bitch out

im done for the night got one side out. going to get a spring compressor tomorrow and finishing that one side. any good tips on prying my lca down. seems like its gonna be a pain in the butthole to get it low enough to fit the new setup in. also my buddy that works at toyota came by and is gonna give me a free alignment thursday

Stand on your lca, that will help. Or unbolt your spindle from the uca. Your uca is what's keeping the lca from extending down further. You can still only go so far until your axle stops you but it should be plenty

 

yeah i did. and it is sick! i like how someone found a page on FB that was made sat. and now they saying it was a conspiracy. but yet if they were smart and looked close it said the name of the page was changed yesterday. now the whole page has been deleted.

we need to go back to how it was in the 90’s and maybe up till 3 or 4 years ago.

 

Agreed, unbolt the lower bolt on your spindle, it allows everything to drop...but be careful not to drop so much that your axle falls out. I would recommend a floor jack for controlled drop. You can always go out to ToyTec's sight...they have .pdf's for installing their kits...look for one that includes Bilstein 5100's with Eibach springs...I failed to unbolt my lower bolt because I thought I knew better and fought it for an hour...finally read the damn directions and it was in within secs. Just make sure you REBOLT and torque that lower spindle bolt.

One more point...not sure what your installing, but the Eibach springs are to tightly coiled for standard screw down compressors...and you have to put a LOT of pressure on those cheap ass compressors to get that cap back on the coil overs...I had to take mine to an alignement shop and use a wall mount compressor and it still stressed the compressor. Just becareful...
