Well went hunting this morning and it started snowing!!! and probably 20mph winds.

 

you know your from the south when some one says ^^^ I know where the wally world in Crossville is and how to get to it from the house/property i hunt at. also know where 2 wally worlds in WNY are and how to get to them...

Yeah dude, it's right next to the interstate off jefferson. there's almost nothing in it though, other than a pretty good burger place.

i see ober turned the snow guns on today!! maybe i’ll go get my season pass.

 

You ever go over to Cataloochee? Not much further, more trails and in better shape. I like Ober for a mid week night session.

 

Better get it this week to get the discount it goes up to 300+ next week.

 

no. but plain to go to cat and beach/suger this year. also may plain another trip to NY to see family and go to holiday valley. they have like 56 or 58 trails and much much better than ober. you snowboard or ski?

yeah i know it’s still $273 or 275.

 

I ski. I usually go with boarders. One buddy does both. We usually go over there 4-5 times and up to Ober for a few night trips. Usually one long weekend at Snowshoe or Winter Place. I've done Winter Place on a day trip before too. It's a little under 4 hours from Knoxville. Going to be a leaner year though trip wise. Probably going to have to pass on the trip this year. I'll make up for it next year though.

 

oh hell yeah. i only got to snowboard 2 times last season, so i’ll probably suck for a few times. one time was in NY and i sucked!! so much nice snow and not ice! my cousin had skis and went with me. maybe we will have to all go. i know mountain man has snowboard some. maybe we can get a small meet for an evening at ober. i don’t care if people ski or board, all though i poke fun at some skiers i know.


well i’m off, got to get up at 4 to go hunting. its going to be nice and cold, hope it’s not to windy.

 

What's up with poking fun at skiers? I don't have to stop every time I get off of the lift. Just ski off and down the mountain. Repeat. I've boarded some but I don't want to waste half a day or more on the greens (not to mention sore glutes) so I don't try to board any more.

 

lol just a little joking that all. depending on the type of binding some are really easy and only take like 10 seconds to strap one food back in. I need new ones mine suck and are messing up some.

 

I wish I had time to hunt. Maybe in a couple years.

 

I've seen some really cool bindings that can be tightened on the go. Mostly though, you see boarders lined up across the trail sitting. It's all good from me though. I don't care how fast or slow anyone goes as long as they have fun and and don't run over people. I had a huge collision at Cat last year though. I almost stayed up too. Totally creamed a guy who stopped right in front of me. Not his fault though because a bunch of kids fell right in front of him going around a curve.
