That's no fun. I'm trying to learn to drive an auto right now. I slammed the brakes on twice earlier trying to push in the clutch. Lol I gotta only drive with my right foot

 

Haha LSD that's what we did in high school.....
Have fun in that stock truck hope it has a v6 at least.
Also need help before tomorrow. Need to decide if I like the pipes that are close to the cab or to the back. Was thinking having them close to the cab that way I can put some stuff in from the rear.

 

That button is probably auto lsd mine has it. It's an e locker from what I've read here. Not a true locker.

 

I was wondering about that because I know a guy who has a '12 sport and he's always talking about his locker. I was like "I'm pretty sure the lockers only come on the off road version"... But that make sense.

And since I'm not locked anywhere... Can someone clear up the difference in an e locker and a real locker?

 

My understanding is a e locker is like a regular locker but selectable. A real locker is not selectable. Then there are limited slip also that lock but unlock in tight turns. If I am correct.

 

x2. also air lockers(like arb) are selectable.

I have played around with the E locker and only think i don’t like is having to be in 4L(i should do the locker anytime mod) but i don’t get why i can only use it in 4L when the TRD off road pre runners can do it anytime.

An elocker is electronic. That's what the e stands for. Its a "real locker" but considered s selectable locker and as Zach said, so is an arb air locker. A full time locker is locked all the time. There are no mechanics to it or switches to it, it's just a hunk of metal that permanently locks both axles together as one unit. A no-slip locker is a full time locker with capabilities of engaging and disengaging mechanically through torque, considering it a form of a part time locker, which is what I have. Lsd isn't a locker at all. It is an electronic system that senses when traction is lost to a specific wheel and applies more power to that wheel until it gets traction.

 

And a Detroit locker can't back you up your driveway, ain't that right Gid.
