Happened today. We were on a back road and old dude in full size Chevy ran stop sign. got in to my cab on the bottom by to step bar. Did not get frame. I just hope it can be fixed. I don't want another truck. 34 states and 170k. Come hell or high water they ain't gettin' my rig!

 

Fuckin old fucks. Sounds like a new cab or piece of one is in your future. If they total it then just buy it back for a few hundred and fix it

 

Shouldn't be totaled though. Not with only 12k in damage

Its hilarious watching everybody from home talk about their annual 56 snow flakes. Apparently Birmingham declared a state of emergency and some of my family has to stay the night in the office.


Two weeks ago it was -20 and a blizzard and I was working on a rig and then drove home.

 

oh any threat of snow or ice around here is serious shit. Some schools closed here because it was 17 degrees today with a 20% chance of snow. lol

live in bham and it was no joke today, ended up taking 8hrs to go a little less than 40 miles. they are in no way prepared for anything and there was places around here that got over 4" of snow that immediately was melted and refroze because the high was 19 today. i was born and raised in southern IL and have driven plenty in shit like this without thinking twice, but it makes a difference when a state is prepared to take on stuff like this. all the forecasts were for every bit of this to hit south of Bham so all the road crews were stationed from calera to montgomery. we were only sup to get a light dusting if that... they got it wrong!

Yeah my stepdad and one of my good buddies are both sleeping in their office tonight and might sleep there tomorrow night. Shit like that doesn't slow us down up here. They just throw a little sand on it and call it good. Of course they also make it mandatory to have survival gear in your vehicle and a set of chains here too.
