Hey Taylor, our family is thinking about switching to AT&T, and IIRC you work (or worked) for them, is the coverage map accurate?

Ya dude, I manage one of the stores... I feel as if the coverage viewer is quite accurate, there's actually an internal website that's called the "MTI map tool" that you might be able to google search and get your hands on. It's not supposed to be viewed by customers, but it actually shows where the cell towers are... (Papa Kurt might be able to chime in here as he works for the company as well.)

But in Tennessee and Georgia I have been very happy with their coverage. This is the perfect time to try them out with the $100 bill credits for every new line of service as well... Just remember you always have 14 days to try the equipment out, if it doesn't work out for you then you can back out.

Also if you cancel your service within the first 3 days then you don't even have to pay for the service... Just food for thought.

Adam (Newlife) has at&t... He might be able to give some insight. I'm sure he would say he's pretty satisfied overall except for when I go into his account and charge him extra stuff on his bill when he pisses me off. Haha

Just let me know if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to help.

Minus extreme off road I am pleased with att. I generally always have service and the customer service side ( minus taylor who won't give me credits.) Is great. Anytime I have an issue they are there. Now if you're a power user like me try and find a rep that can promise you the stars and moon and get the unlimited package for the cheap.

Thanks for all the info, i found the fancy map on y'alls site that you can zoom in on and everything, if it's accurate i should have good signal either area i'll be moving to (MS gulf coast, then maybe fall-spring i'll be living in charlottesville VA)

Dad has really been looking into switching (we have VZ now) to AT&T as his iPad that has the AT&T 3G is a lot faster than his phone, and y'all have that deal with 10GB of data, talk, and text for $160 (?) a month ( roughly half of what we're paying for verizon).

Also, is there a big difference between 3G and 4G and 2G?
My cousins have VZ 4g and they say their data allowance gets used a lot faster with the 4g (they have 6GB each and usually have to turn off the data near the end of the month).
    Cool, good to know.
    I don't use a lot of data (surprisingly), usually i'll use 1GB a month, maybe 1.2 GB.
If we go on a road trip though i use 1.5-1.8 GB

at least around here i think Verizon and at&t have about the same coverage. VZ may have slightly better. I have always had VZ but have friends with at&t.

glad i have VZ so taylor can’t fuck with my account when i piss him off. which seams to be weekly....

    Lol, well played...

Anyways, Jake, check this site out. Www.myattmst.com

This will show you the brochure. The $160 is kind of misleading. The 10 gig plan is $100, and each phone is technically $40 for each smartphone on top of that. But if you look at that website, it says you can get a $25 credit on each line if you're out of contract, or participate in the "next" plan. Example: if you go in to get 1 line of service, and want a $.99 cent iPhone 4S, well the $.99 is the 2 year price, so when you sign the 2 year agreement, you have to take the $100 for the 10 gig plan, but you would have to pay the $40 to add the smartphone and wouldn't get the $25 credit because you're under contract...

It's a good plan. But you have to understand what you're getting into with the "next" plan and everything. Make sure you walk in there with an understanding of what you want to do before you get there. I'm more than welcome to do whatever I can do help explain...
