    Do you need a lift and armour for the medium trails? I am looking forward to coming on Saturday and hitting some trails and meeting you guys but i will be much as I am now and can't afford to do any real damage.

    Saturday we will be doing trails everyone can do. Ill be there Thursday and Friday and would like to hit a few of the medium trails those days so the big ride saturday no one is left out

    There is a lot of easy trails up there too. And you can usually go around rough places. Ive seen raptors, fj cruisers , xterras...

    I've never been to a park that had no trails a stock truck could ride. When I see a pic that has multiple stock Ford raptors on a trail at windrock then I have zero fear that a stock Tacoma couldn't go down those exact same trails. If you don't want any damage then don't put your truck in a position to get any. Driver mod is extremely overlooked when talking about offroading. Wanna get better at offroading? Drive a less capable truck. You have no choice but to learn how to drive. Drive a built rig and you can rely on the truck itself to get through stuff.

    I'll never forget this ....... We went to a SRRS final at Superlift off-road park in Arkansas a few years ago and the folks we were with wanted to ride some 4 diamond trails, which are the hardest there, so I parked my truck and hopped in with a dude in an old 4runner on 38s, built diffs, dual tcase, etc ..... And we took off down the trail. The trail was way over what my truck could've done and even put him in a few ass sweating situations. Well we had just went over this huge 70 deg rock face that I thought for sure we were rolling over on and sitting at the top of the next obstacle was a bone stock 90s model Isuzu Amigo. Little bitty thing. I would've bet money that it wouldn't have gone 50 yards down that trail but there it was in front of us and without a dent or scratch on it. I immediately said "That dude is the best driver in the park right now."

    You're prob right but also important is that he prob didn't give a shit about that Amigo. And if I know before it's out of my league or comfort zone then I will not put myself in a position for damage. Hopefully.

    I agree with this but there is also the thrill of the unknown. I care a great deal about my truck. And I know I can't go some places the others go. But it doesn't limit be from the butt pucker factor of trying it. Now rock crawling negative. I don't do that shit. Even if I was full armored up and front and rear lockers Nope. One wrong move and you could end it all. Slinging mudd and clay. That's more my style.

    one thing to also think about is windrock will and can wash out bad with just one 20 to 30min rain storm. it’s kinda like royal blue(thats where me gid and kurt went last year) that place will and can wash out bad, or big trees and fall and you may have to turn around or back down a trail a ways. i don’t how they maintain the easy trails, but even taken care of good can wash out bad after a few storms.( don’t think they are going to take a small dozer to them until a trail becomes un passable.

    Just drive smart. Like you just said, if you ain't comfortable then don't do it. I'm with Adam, I'm not a fan of fucking up my truck. I wash it once a week just cause I like to see it clean. But I do have some body damage. I had 3 big dents pulled out of my driver door from sitting on a tree and a big ass dent in my bedside from another tree. They ain't my favorite but I'm not mad about them because I chose to put myself in those fucked up positions. I'm not scared to off-road my truck at all but I will never do something that it's 100% fact that I'm gonna fuck something up. That's what a beater truck is for
