Mom and dad coming up for the 4th weekend to work on the cabin. So he needs help. Going to try and talk my dad in to going to windrock on Saturday if y'all are still going . And then the next weekend go some where close for a quick trip.

 

Going to a diesel truck pull in Knoxville and see a bunch of tacomas in the parking lot.

 

So.... daytona sucks so far.

No beautiful day. Bunch of Jack ass's around here. And busy as shit. I mean I know it's a tourist spot but damn. 3 hour wait for dinner

 

It's still fuckin raining here. 11 days straight now. And yeah that sounds shitty. But aren't you supposed to tail gate there? Meaning you are cooking?

 

No we're vacationing for a week and 1/2

 

Try and find the less used hole in the walls. Sometimes those are the best food spots and the tourist don't know about them or are afraid to try. Find a local and ask for several places.

 

yeah people can’t drive worth shit! we had a 1h 40m wait at joes crap shack. only time we had a long wait for food.

 

Last time I was in Daytona in early June (13 years ago) it was a ghost town.

Try boondocks it’s not on the beach or by the main stuff, but is good and should not have a long wait. also DO NOT i mean DO NOT go to the denny s down their! worst food i have ever had any where in my life! so bad i did not eat all the bacon or pancakes.

This condo we rented is freaking huge. 2700 Sq ft
And this is only half of it. Three more bedrooms the same size. One more big ass bathroom and one smaller bathroom for the guest.

Spent about 4 hours in the water today. Planning on the dog track Tuesday.
Just got back from the farmers market got some awesome vegetables and this amazing mango pineapple habenero salsa to put on some grouper and tuna steaks. Starting to look up.


Madie is loving the ocean so far.

 

Funny you sent that. We looked at it last night and we went to ocean deck for dinner. Stacey ordered their tuna steak at medium and it was delicious. I got the deck burger and damn it. It was huge. almost a lb then a 1/4 lb of ham, bacon pineapple and some other stuff. absolutely amazing and one of the best burgers I've eaten in a long long time. We went to hulls and racked up on fish, shrimp, oysters, and scallops. Minus the condo we are only in about 400.00 a little less in three days so not terribly bad.

The main thing I've noticed you've gotta search for a deal. We went to one place to buy some rum last night and it was 30.00 for a pint then went next door and it was 14.00 for the same.
