Not to mention their COMPETELY unhelpful nature re: codes. Their service indeed is among the worst.

I doubt it, it seems like they (UG) are trying to get as much $$ money from old their old technology as possible before the blue tooth dongles takes over. Technology normally decreases in price but this unit has increased 2 fold since I bought my first one in 2012. ( not including the 2 upgrades I sent back to UG to have done). I paid $98.00 including shipping for the new one I just bought. Plus, I bought a Scan gauge when I got no response concerning shipping from UG and wanted to cancel, but mysteriously the UG shipped after I filled out a ticket and told them to cancel order. The wife likes the Scan gauge, say's it's not ugly like the UG. So,,,, happy wife, happy life, I'm keeping the newer UG. The only reason I bought the UG is I'm used to the controls/menu/screen, etc.. and I can easily setup the UG for the wife. Now that I have both, the Scangauge is just as easy to setup, but costs just a little more. If I were to do it all over again, and was looking for a way to monitor engine vitals, I probably would either buy a $25.00 bluetooth dongle and use my phone or upgrade my head unit to an Android head unit for $200-$300.

Honestly, I wish I would just went with the Blue tooth dongle. After the novelty wears off of having a new toy, and that's really quick, you hardly use it.

Not to be contradicting but, within the last 3 weeks I've been monitoring trans temps as I put in an Aux trans cooler so I'm monitoring trans temps. But, I hardly drive and even when I do, I have to remember to look at the trans temps.

I was going to buy the UG, but because of delays I bought a bluetooth dongle. Used it on a recent trip to watch the transmission temps. It worked great and will be all I need

Kind of stated this back on page 24. This is a first for me! I'm usually the one that picks the shortest line only to have the clerk tell me "there's a problem with the register" once I made my way to the front of the line. LOL

I also listed it in the local NW section, blue room and member Stoopid left me a message late last night, so he has first dibs. I'll keep you in mind if it falls through. Got to edit my original post.
