I'll just have to find the correct forum to ask all the stupid questions I'll have after I get it. LOL

Thanks! I'm pretty savvy with the mechanical stuff but not the electronics.

The user manual is actually pretty helpful. Just make sure to read the section on calibrating it for your vehicle. You'll have to set the fuel tank size, the HP or Torque value (can't remember which one), I think it asks for the engine size and then you'll need to calibrate the mileage and fuel consumption values with each of the next couple of fill-ups.

Since I've changed tire size from stock, I'll have to use a GPS, right?

I tried both, but for me, since I only went to a 265/70/17 and wasn't a drastic difference from stock, the difference wasn't so much that I felt I needed to do the GPS route so I just went off the dash gauge. But if you're running like 33's or something bigger, you'll want to go the GPS route.

Not sure exactly what I need to buy for my 13 Taco, is it just the UG v1.2, or do I need the ultra? Also, do I need the Isolation Cables? Any help would be appreciated, thanks...new to this whole "modding" thing

You only need to get the 1.2. The Plus just has a couple extra features for monitoring system readiness and some other performance gauges. Since you have a newer Tacoma, you don't need the extra cable. The extra cable was to eliminate a problem with the 2001-2004 Tacomas because of some problem with the old ABS system.

I have a '13, have the 1.2 in it now. I'm opting to get the plus for my 4runner just to see what it's like but am not really expecting to use any of the extra features...just kinda want to see what they're all about.

I'm running stock size tires on mine, and found out when checking against a GPS that the truck odometer is actually 4 miles short for every 100 traveled. I suggest that everyone calibrate against a GPS measurement, cuz even 4 miles out of 100 adds up to a lot over time.
