Correct. I’ll need to adjust your truck’s files to include GL and send over new copies

    So Cal (SFV)
Does this mean, ECT in D-mode makes no difference if ON or OFF? Only way ECT button is effective is in S-mode, correct?

    Could you clarify please?

ECT on but in D will have very low and strange shifts since it is an all or nothing type gear lock.

The truck will shift itself up and down but it holds gears MUCH longer to allow for people to shift manually. This is to prevent someone forgetting and cooking their trans

    All good, welcome to TW!

So what state do you live in? This will help narrow down who can do the tune for you. There is a thread on the website that has a list of people who install tunes, but if you'd like me to source them for you it may help manage the cost a bit.

Any timeframe on when you'd want to get it done by? I'll post looking for someone for you in the thread I'm linking.

I'll see about managing your install costs since people are all over with pricing lately.

Once I get my website rolling I plan to have the service be $250 with the installer getting $200 and myself getting $50 for the tune and finders fee.

Anyone have any idea how this tune does while towing? Looking for another tune when I get my camper next month. Thanks!

For towing I recommend using the standard pedal feel file and activating ECT mode. This will adjust the shift points to ensure you have enough pulling power.

Curious about throttle tip in vs kdmax6.0. Currently running slt as I spend quite a bit of time messing around in the snow and off the beaten path so an aggressive pedal isn't necessary. Also when you reference octane dependendent does the tune not have any of the factory octane learning built in? Seems alot of the tunes have a regular that will benefit from running premium if you want to however its not required. Im guessing this is similar to the tune Im currently running and will octane learn up to a certain point? Anyone on here gone from kdmax to vr would like to hear opinions and differences.
