    I’ll be a Guinea pig. Mines a problematic 2019 so always looking for experimental tunes from others.

    I am interested in being a tester, I have no partner though.

    2020 MT - 04B91

    Been running versions of my own tune, but haven't gotten that deep yet. I am loving this PTTT map though, and I am not sure I could go back to the OVT 2.0 map.

    I'm very interested in tuning my truck, but am so confused on VFTuner. Can I just buy their VForest software bundle and then buy the Valley Runner tune and install it?

    I'm another 2018 who's willing to be a tester and split costs. I live in Alaska and do a lot of road trips. Plenty of varied terrain for me to test tunes here.

    I don't know if anyone does any tuning here in Anchorage either. I might need a little guidance, but I'd be happy to tune other trucks as well. Tons of Tacomas on the roads throughout AK.

    Yes you do not need to buy the OV Tune unless you want to. The software and cable sold on Matt’s website will allow you to unlock your truck’s VIN and program Valley Runner to it

    Pre-tune 50-60mph in my area would average between 16-17mpg depending on headwinds and traffic.

    I filled up and head to the National park with the wife and dog today, windows down with a good headwind. This was the resulting tank average (only miles on the tank were this trip so far)

    Alright everyone, seems like I need to make a list of those with unsupported ECU IDs who said they would be willing to pay $40 for development on their trucks.

    Credits come in packs of 8 for $80 so we would obviously need to do things two by two (think of Noah if you will).

    Also, I am unsure of how long it will take for VF Tuner credits to be added to my account once purchased. So I don't want y'all feeling like you would be paying for something without a timeline of follow through, but until credits hit my master key I wouldn't know a timeframe for y'all.

    Current Users Interested:

    ~2018~
    @CAG Gonzo
    @LstMinutePanic (Alaska, should be great to see VR2.0.1 over there)

    ~2019~
    @newdles

    ~2020~
    @C41n (Manual Trans)

    So far it looks like we have enough willing to pair up to unlock all but the 2021 trucks. Since we have two in the 2018 category the ECU ID would be unlocked with one person's payment, but the other person obviously would still be roped into the lifetime updates list I'll have. So it wouldn't be a total loss.

    Let me know what you guys want to do.

    Thanks again for the support

    Isn't it Noah?

    Could us 2018 folks just give you $40 each?

    Yea Noah lol (fixed it so I seem intelligent), I'm tired from a long day. Plus you guys keep me busy too haha.

    Yes y'all could both do it.

    I have the 2019 ready to begin if you're ready for the 2018s?

    Sure, $40 seems totally worth it to me to try out some more tunes. I've come across some great community tunes so far, but improvements keep coming along, and I'm still looking for that perfect-for-my-truck tune.

    This man right here he was my long lost and found tune ,yeah the other tunes were great and fun but I needed someone that can make my truck behave and he is doing that, he is getting my taco to behave.

    Update:

    Credit request to VF has been paid for and we are just waiting for them to arrive.

    I'll be completing 2019 AT ECU IDs first, followed by 2018 AT ECUs. I'll have these trucks test the conversion and ensure there are zero hiccups between them.

    Next week I will be starting to convert for 2020 AT and MT trucks, the MT might take longer.

    Following that we will move onto 2021 AT, for the few people who have those and want to get a tune for them.

    Then we move into making premium gasoline files for those who want it. All purchased tunes will be receiving copies of these files as stated in the original posting.
    _______________________________________________________________________________________________

    I'll need another test truck for 2020 AT & 2021 AT. It'll be a paid tester slot with the usual perks of receiving free updates for the lifetime of your vehicle. The base of this tune functions flawlessly, therefore all the upcoming ECU ID tests will be solely assessing the overall fit and any abnormal changes between model year.

    The Atkinson Cycle compensation is my main focus with these trucks. The engine has remained the same physically each year, I want to ensure the control of this aspect remains as well. All should remain the same: Pedal feel of a full size truck, low end pick up of a small v8, and mpg similar to a small suv.

    Any brave souls (or simply curious individuals) would be greatly appreciated. At the end of it all, you'll retain the perks of being a recurring tester, have access to v3.0 beta once I start it and reach a safe point, as well as lifetime updates.

    Just for the record, showing those fuel tank average images with basically a full tank is pretty much useless. Please repost at under a quarter tank to show a meaningful tank average.

    I’ve posted those simply to show what one trip would get. An under quarter shot will include whatever mix of driving occurred on that tank. My average mix of city highway tends to end up being in the upper 18s depending on how long I idle for.

    It’s kinda hard to explain that you can get into the 20s with a trip if you’re only showing data with tons of variables (example: there is a light down the road that will stay red for 5+ minutes if someone isn’t perfectly positioned on the sensor. Or if you don’t give up and run it)

    I post mpg to show with my mods what results I'm getting with his tune that it be , I'm just putting it out there for comparison. I believe I'm gonna try to use gaia gps app to track my elevation changes on my commute s to work. I only know so much we are all learning and information I know I have I put it out there to share.

    You could also actually data log and show more info for the commute.

    Example:
