They're quoting me $1000 for a deposit on two new headlights. Which is way more than I paid for both plus fogs.

That really sucks. I don't get it. 1 headlight is $450 so shouldn't a set be $900? But on the bright side, it's refundable. You'll get that $1,000 back.

The idea of having $1000 just tied up until this process, which has already been a pain, is resolved, scares me.

I know it sounds scary. It scares me too. The good news is that a member on here went through the process and did get 100% of his money back. Hope it works out for you buddy.

Got my lights, they look great but it seems I’m getting some radio static with the drl on. Anyone experiencing this?

On an unrelated note, anybody ever figure out how to keep the DRLs from dimming at least on the running light setting? Probably just hard baked into the lights but if there's a way it would be nice.

    The retrofit source.

Just received mine today.. up in Canada. Stoked to get them in. Still a little unclear as to why I'll need the fuse tap. I have auto headlights and our Canadian models have auto - fulltime DRL's but I'm sure it will make sense when i get to the install.

Ceramic coat applied and ready to go. 20200102_120910.jpg

If you have a trd model you will not need a fuse tap at all. The fuse tap is included in the box just in case you have a sr or sr5 model tacoma

Mine was involuntary refunded too and I bought these headlights back in October....They said that they refunded the money, but it did not hit my credit card. I had to file a dispute and I am STILL waiting for my $1100 to be refunded!

    I am super annoyed

Update: Contact via email by RetrofitWholesale who claims that refund payment was made through Stripe electronically (showed receipt). They feel that there was a 3rd party who intercepted payment and advised to call my credit card to file a dispute which I did. My credit card had no problem refunding me while they investigate. Refund will stand regardless of the outcome per my credit card.

Since I hate the light output on my current Spyder headlights, I went ahead and ordered another set of the XB's at the Retrofit source which I received about 10 days after ordering. Waiting to install these until the McNeil 3" fiberglass fenders get installed. Can't wait!

    Hopefully they resolve soon.

I also have burnt out LED in addition to lights I couldn't properly adjust. They only responded to email once per day every few days. They added items to my cart for the deposit so they could ship me new ones, but the cart had 4runner XBs instead of Tacoma.

Tried responding back as quick as I could to get it remedied but now I have to wait till next week I guess.

I'm not looking for any replacements. Buy once cry once. I tried them and have zero faith in the future use of these if they dont even work properly from the factory the first time.

Ill be returning these on their dime once the open on monday.

@TRSAndrew if you can pm me that would be great.

I've noticed the same thing! The radio static is terrible with the drl on.
Does anyone know a way to remedy this?

I talked to a guy at trs and they’ve had a rash of this problem lately. Here’s the email they sent me after discussing a fix. I’d call them and get on the list, he said the “repair” would be free of charge (as it should be)

Oh! That’s good to know that they’re at least aware of it and trying to remedy the problem, thank you! I’ll be sure to email them also

my radio stations are fine. I have a TRD sport that already had LED DRL. Is it possible that it correlates to those who did not originally have the LED DRLs? Maybe it’s an issue with the harness?
