I had contacted my bank and received a claim number. They contacted me today and said it's too late on their end.

I never received an email that there was possible fraud. I did received an email in Nov that a refund would be coming my way. After a few weeks I called and was told it could take a few weeks to process. I waited and waited and then responded off the refund email that I still haven't received the refund, and that was the first time I was told that there was fraud on TRS's end and to contact my bank. What do I need to do to get my money or the headlights???

 

I know I'm resurrecting this from the dead...but...

As someone with Mori XBs who wishes the DRL was amber, how difficult is it to change the LEDs? I'm sure the process would involve voiding the warranty but I'm still curious. And jealous.

 

It’s a little sketchy. Not the opening of the lights themselves, but swapping the LEDs. You have to desolder each white Turn led and be careful not to hit the white DRL led right next to it. Then resolder on amber chips. It’s not fun lol

Contact your bank! I am still waiting for my refund from my credit card company. They said they will have an answer by 2/28... they said it will take 90 days.

this whole fiasco has been a nightmare. Someone along the way got our money...be it a scam or retrofit idk. I was really looking forward to these headlights, but now I just want my damn refund

 

Just installed my headlights, and it has a burnt out section.
Kinda sucks.
Does other people have this problem? Or know a solution?

I had a section of my DRL burn out a few weeks after I'd got them. TRS had me send it back.

If you want to use them until you get the new ones in you'll need to pay them a hefty deposit (I paid $800 for the pair) that they refund when they get the bad lights back. They give you a shipping label and you send the bad one(s) back in the box you got the new one(s) in.

I should add if you just send them back and wait for the new ones it's no deposit.

 

If I've learned anything from ordering anything Morimoto, it's that the quality of their products are always hit or miss. It's not Toyota/Lexus quality at all. Everyone it seems always has to send something of theirs back in order to fix something wrong with their "new" stuff. It's almost a guarantee that half the order of parts will fail prematurely or work poorly. That's been my experience and from what I've read it's been the same.

 

Yeah I've said it before. If I didn't get them and the fogs for such a steal over Black Friday I'd be more pissed.

 

Checking in on that refund @eledobleu 5 days of being inactive now. You still here or the door get you?

There's a 1 other that's in the same position. Stripe has already assured me that they will issue refunds to the few that didn't receive it by the end of this month. If somehow they do not issue it, I'll issue a check or wire transfer to your bank after confirming that Stripe did they not re-issue your refund. Also whenever you do see a refund pending in your account, please let me know immediately so I can update the case.
