I’m sure this has been answered but I haven’t found it in the thread, does Morimoto have any sort of “trade-in” discount to switch from gen1 headlights to gen2?

Put a set of these on my 2021 SR5 today. Using the fuse tap vs not using the fuse tap seems to only do a couple of things different with regard to the drl and stalk behaviors. Also I used the INJ 10a fuse with the fuse tap they dont turn on randomly like the EFI 10a fuse.

No fuse tap = full functionality of stalk. Off, drl and auto (amber drls), and low beams (dimmed white drl)

With fuse tap: light dance start up, bright white drls with stalk on OFF, Drl and auto stalk are amber (no difference between fuse tap or not), low beams (dimmed white drl)

I have considered not using the fuse tap and removing resistors to see if there is any hyperflashing. This would be my ideal setup. Stalk would work as intended and amber drls in auto and DRL mode. White drls in lowbeam mode.

Not sure if anyone is on the fence on these headlights right now, but a price adjustment is coming to most Morimoto parts tomorrow 10/7! Average increase in pricing is ~10%

If you wanted to jump in on these now is definitely the time to do it!

Certainly better than the Chinese Vland products. But point being they are not made by Morimoto, they are purchased relabeled 3rd party product, a trend that is becoming increasingly common.

Anyone have a quick link on how to aim? Not seeing it in morimoto’s install. I know 25ft level on a wall but what screws do what. Anyone have a pic with arrows that point directly to the up down left right?

It’s going to be a stupid question but since there are smaller screws next to all them I’m going to ask (also had someone say you need a 6-8” long screw driver).

Are we taking about these 4? I was thinking those but don’t need that long of a screw driver lol

Correct those are your 4 adjusters. I believe that they're just a phillips in there. You'll likely need a really short screwdriver.

exactly what I was going to mention. You can use a ratchet, much easier. You may need to add an extension to get to some but shouldn't be tough.
