Got it. The thing I posted looks like it's for native drl strip halogen headlights, which mine aren't. I don't know if they sell a harness for OEM LED to Morimoto xb headlights.

I'd reach out to @daveeasa for his input, this is more his wheelhouse

I don’t make a headlight conversion harness for trucks which came with OEM LED headlights.

Did the morimoto xb gen 2 headlights have the option of ordering with the clear side marker? or was it only for the gen 1?

I dont know if this has been answered already in this thread but do you think its possible to use the morimoto DRL in the 2020 LEDs? I just ordered a pair of the LEDs but like the sequential turn signal on the morimotos better than the LEDs. Just a thought. Would still have to source the DRLs somehow.

Got my set of XB headlights the other day, and they look terrific! Trouble I'm having is that when I went toadjust the headlights, two of the adjusters are not there. In their place are just some smooth round plastic pieces. I plan to contact morimoto tomorrow, but was curious if anyone else had run into this or if im just a moron missing something. Thanks!

I'm getting a new TDOR, but it does not come with the LED light package. I was looking at these as an option but from the post I see here it seems that they are not reliable? Will these be Plug and Play or do I have to tap into additional power to get the full functionality? I admit these things look really good but I don't want to spend 15 to $1,600 on something that's not going to last a long time. How do they compare to the factory LED headlights?

I have had mine for a year and have had zero issues with them. 100% plug and play. There is a fuse tap for sr5/sr models that don't have built in LED DRL's. Shouldn't need it on trd models. The fuse tap also powers the light dance start up sequence iirc. Not a difficult or invasive thing to install

Are they a lot brighter than the stock LED headlights? Pictures I've seen they look great

The low and high beams are brighter but they have a sharper cut off line compared to OEM Leds.

So it's a more concentrated beam? Would you say that's a good thing or a bad thing?

Oem vs morimoto is a choice to be made. Both pros and cons. I've never driven a taco with oems but I was going to go that route originally until I found a good deal on some xbs from a local TW Member.

I know you want a definitive answer but you gotta go with your own gut on this purchase. Oems will require a custom harness from @Puppypunter or @daveeasa. Morimotos are good to go out of the box. Morimotos have amber drl options and non reflector leds and a brighter color temp, but oems have a better up light vs morimotos sharper cutoff line. Both gonna cost you between $1200-$1500 in the end

Anyone get a ton of RF interference when running DRL with the XB's? I've got a HAM radio in my truck and I expect to get a little noise from the LED's but If I leave the DRL lights on, it totally wipes out my reception. I've tried ferrite chokes and they had no effect at all. If I run with headlights on it cuts the interference by about 3/4 but not as good as everything off. It doesn't make a difference if the radio is wired direct to battery. In grill 30" light bar works great and has no effect at all on the radio. Any suggestions?

I just received a set and had this issue as well with the high beams. Did you ever hear back?

On the Gen2's, they are bi-LEDs so low and high are in the same projectors. I'm guessing when you adjust the low, the high just moves with it at a pre-defined offset. I just ordered an amber DRL set plus 4Banger HXB wide yellows (on the free 4Banger promo) so don't have them yet but I'm guessing that's how they work. If anyone confirms, please post so I'm not scratching my head as well when I install.

I ordered the same setup. I was curious if that's how they worked. Not sure why they don't update their image for adjustment points to reflect the change.
I got my order within 2 or 3 days so you shouldn't have to wait long.

Just installed my Morimotos today. The light output is great but the cutoff is way too low and it seems on of the lights is too wide.

does anyone know the proper procedure/process to adjust these?

I did see that picture from their website. I was asking more about the process of alignment. Is is just trial and error, or are there dimensions/metrics that can be used to make sure the headlights are aligned properly?
