Ok gang, I have been dragging my feet a little before came up with a plan for this weekend because i wanted to see what every body's availability is. Looks like were gonna have maybe 4trucks camping and a few other passengers. Others May show up on sat am. Depending on what time we get there on Friday we may have an opportunity to get out on the trails for a little "late daylight" depends on time of arrival and setup. If you are interested please mKe it known so i have an idea. More importantly Saterday!

On sat the plan is to line up at the front gate down by the parking lot and the snack shack (where if you didn't buy your permit for park you can do so) at 730. I'm not sure if just the shack only opens at 7 or the park does too but we will be in line up a few mins after so if they open at 8 then we will be there in line. Speaking of line... There is going to be a national hummer meet down there this same weekend with over 80 trucks. Please try and get your land use permit sooner than later. If your camping with us you can buy them when you get your camp site paid for.
Depending on the group size and equipment we will make trail decisions accordingly but plan to be on the trails All Day. Pack a lunch (and a dinner just incase) last time im sure some went hungry as we went several hours into night from an early am start. We can try to get out to the windmills sat night but if that doesnt work maybe Sunday am we can grab that special windmill permit I think they sell... If someone knows something chime inhere

Cell phones have little to no coverage out there but if you need to get a hold of someone my cell is 513 518 9282 cb radios will be utilized on trails (if my actually works this time). After wheeling we plan on camp fireing it up so remember to bring wood if you got it. Town is about 10 mins away, so if you forgot booze or food or want to stop in for a big Mac you can do so.

We will be staying at www.windrockpark.com campground so if you have any question how to get there see site.

    stuff.
I've never heard of a 'special windmill permit' .... no trespassing signs abound up there. I am not, nor will I ever condone trespassing in any form, but you're on your own if you want to check them out, as many times as I have been there, I've never seen anyone enforcing this in the area... BUT that doesn't mean it WON'T happen .. and who knows what the consequences might be. And IMO, I would save the windmills for a day time visit ... much more to see when you can actually SEE it!
