Post a pic of your truck. Let me see if you need more mods. Hahaha
I’m 2k in to mine and she’s still looking like a blank canvas.

Really, All sport models should have come with manual trans only. It's a sport. There is nothing sporty about an undergeared auto trans.

I had pre-approved car loan threshold of $50K @1.8% APR going into the dealership.

My personal goal was to stay under $40K.

Had I bought a TRD Pro, I estimate my car payments would have been over $800/month.

As it turned out with my trade-in & money down, I financed $35K. I added Extended Warranty which put the total TTL + warranty over the $40.

I'm happy with the outcome and I love my Sport. This Saturday is my one-year anniversary!!!

I wonder if anybody have any complains about the pro.
Would skewp haters not buy the pro?

Sport has arguably better looks. I prefer the scoop, but dont' like the paint matched fenders, so its a toss up unless you prefer both.

Sport has better suspension for 99% of your daily driving, if you drive your truck every day.

Sport costs less than the TRD OR.

TRD OR has a rear locker. Unless you are seriously offroading, youll never, ever use it. Consider how rarely you have to use 4WD, then divide that by the number of times you were almost stuck using your 4WD, and those are the only times youd ever use a rear locker.

At the end of the day, the diff in MSRP increases if you want the locker, but dont want the hood scoop. Both are great options and will make you happy if a tacoma is what you want.

I haven’t been here long, but is there any chance people trade suspension from one to the other much? I wouldn’t mind trading my OR for Sport suspension in a similar year model if someone else wanted OR stuff.

    Dang. Not bad bro.
You won’t be able to sleep if you don’t get them. So, I say go for it!
I have so many things I want to buy since I paid my truck off last month. I’m going crazy.

Lots of takeoffs available for cheap- post a WTB/WTT in the BST thread when you hit 50 and you’ll find some sport takeoffs quick.

If TW taught me anything, it taught me what not to do. Goooood lord people do a lot of asinine mods to their trucks. Why I bought an SR, it actually has more options on it than I’ll ever use or need. Only thing I have done was to add a topper, but that has nothing to do with TW, have run a topper on all my trucks for the last 30 years. Other than that it is staying stock. Might upgrade the suspension when it claps out, dunno really like how the stock suspension rides, have OME on my 1st Gen and that thing rides like a brick…or may trade in for 4th Gen when they come out.

It's already been covered several times in this Thread but the sport and OR have the same exact MSRP if you configure them the same.

All good points...about the features on TRDs...applies to all the options being too much.

I use the AppleCarPlay quite a bit and kept the SiriusXM membership. I love the driver's power seat, floor mats, dual climate control, ECT Power Button (when I begin to tow over 2000lbs) side mirror warmers, touch lock/open sensor door handles, power rear window, tow package, Sport Tune Suspension, DRLs/fog lights and Automatic Transmission.

This purchase was well-deserved for me and my wife didn't argue with me. She knew I initially wanted a Tundra but suggested the smaller Tacoma.

The stars lined up after we finalized/refinanced mortgage a month prior to my Tacoma purchase. I felt like I was hiding all the cards so I chose the Skewp model that had an MSRP below $40K.

I plan on keeping her for the long haul; taking good care of her maintenance. I'm a happy first-time Tacoma owner!

EDIT: I do agree that some mods are a bit overkill but if that's what owners want to do, who am I to voice my disapproval opinion?
