I installed some lights in my CVT Mt. St. Helens tent earlier this week.

I bought some underbody LED tubes from LEDglow and hung them from the D-rings on the inside of the roof. Wiring was really simple because they all daisy-chain together. Small 12v battery and I'm all set!

I would love to install something like this in my softtopper and under the lid of our trailer... I'm NOT wire tech savvy with auto wiring and wondering if this is pretty simple install... more info please!!

Very easy. Practically Plug & Play.

First these are the light tubes I ordered. I chose the single-color in White. You can see from the plugs how they connect and you can just string them all together. I just ordered 3, but I'll probably add a fourth one.

    https://www.ledunderbody.com/replac...7-color-single-color-slimline-underbody-kits/

From the same place I got one of these:

    https://www.ledunderbody.com/replacement-power-switch-for-single-color-slimline-underbody-kits/

Now you can hook the power wires on the switch to any 12-volt source on your truck but since mine is pretty much a stand-alone setup, I also ordered one of these:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K8V30D0?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

    Piece of Cake. :)

This is a long shot since it's 3 years old - but does anyone recognize the brand of rack on the back of the truck? I've been looking for a bed rack that works seamlessly with a roof rack and I dig whatever is on this Tacoma!

Just finished with this 620 Datsun trailer build. Just took it to the scale earlier today and came in at 620, which is fitting. Next I need to refinish the interior and move the FlipPac over.

Just about to cross 30,000 miles at some point this year with our Canadian built Off Grid Expedition 2.0 At 1900 lbs (dry of course, between 2,500 and 3,200 loaded) the Taco pulls it without issue, even in the mountains.
We just put nearly 3,000 miles on "Sandy" towing the "Winnebago Warrior" (its an old Dead Kennedys song) and had it in auto/manual shift mode in the mountains which kept the gear hunting to a real minimum.
We (literally) hit about every weather condition short of a hurricane, tornado or flood.........just about everything else was there, and mother nature threw EVERYTHING she had as us including nearly 70 MPH wind gusts that destroyed our 23Zero awning as well as wind swept fire and smoke.
Gorgeous country, but very dry and harsh in spots. We also got to hike the Continental Divide trail as well as getting to hike around the Pecos Wilderness.
The Santa Fe Natl forest was awesome, but we missed the tunnel fire before it merged by a couple/few days.
These are a combo of high mountain Cripple Creek CO, Rio Chama River valley NM and the Santa Fe National forest pics.
It was an AWESOME 2.5 weeks and it went by altogether too fast. The Sandy did everything I asked her to do and more, and put a few "New Mexico pinstripes" on her, but I can likely buff the worst of it out.

    Cheers!

Thanks, very kind of you. Was worried about towing with the Taco, as its my first Tacoma/Toyota and first time towing our OGT with it.

Also first automatic since 2005! Gotta say, it was lovely driving in traffic towing with Sandy VS my previous 6-speed manual JKRU.

I built this back in the day. full barn build using scrap. new axel though. Did it to get the rtt off the truck. then bought this camper so might ditch the trailer. not sure. camper is just a shell it would be nice to cook inside so next trailer if i get one must have inside cooking as an option but still small. anyone have anything like that?

Turned out better than I hoped.
Built a cradle for the battery that doesn’t require tie down.

Got out for some camping this past weekend. Digging the new fridge in the trailer. This was a lunch stop and trail recon on the way home.
