I thought about it but I think I can rig something up for half the weight and price.

I've got a Weeroll Overland Model- its on the bigger side, but still does good off road. Plenty of ground clearance.[IMG]

Looks like they don't have that model anymore. What are the dimensions?

I got an M1101, M1102, if anybody is interested. I have/had plans for a project but not sure I will get time. Looking to put a max coupler hitch on it with electric brakes, keeping the handle parking brakes and either leave the 8x6.5 hubs or switch to Tacoma 6x5.5. Aluminum body, steel frame.

How much does the average surplus trailer go for these days? I am in Iowa so I highly doubt you wanna ship that bad boy. So I am just curious.

Well, what they advertise for and what they actually bring are two different things. I guess it all depends on your endstate. Some people wanting them for authenticity probably pay upwards of $2500, and a bit more of not near a military base or govplanet distributor. Govplanet replaced all the DRMO stuff after 9/11. I was going to do all the conversion stuff above plus a rack if anybody wanted to put an RTT on it and ask $3k. I would let it go as it sits for $1500. It pulls fine, has the landing legs, brakes work, rolls and tows fine. No body damage other than some minor wood hauling dents. I got a trip out to Missouri in March if that helps.

Very interesting offer. I need to do more research on what trailer I actually want before I could commit. The fact that you will be in Missouri in march makes it even more interesting. However... So I will PM you if I can commit and send you a deposit to "hold" it for me if I decide it something I'm interested in for sure.

At the moment, please don't wait on me if you have the opportunity to sell.

I have to ask. What do the X2 run with a tent or fridge?

This one is 5x10x5. When I bought it he was making that size and a 5x8x4 trailer. It sounds like he's switched to only making the one size in between now.

Yeah, it’s 5x9x4.5 now. I’d just like it to be 5’ tall. Really like these

Out of curiosity, what is it that you didn't like from the Turtleback trailers? I'm starting to do some research on turtleback vs Patriots and would like your pros and cons since you own one. Thanks

As much as $ will allow
Does anyone know of a company that builds these type of trailers in the midwest?

I know CVT is in OR, Manley is in CA and others toward the west coast. I’d love to grab one locally if possible.

Exploration Outfitters is in Oklahoma, but I'm sure you can find someone closer to Ohio with a little digging. Check out the sponsors of Overland Expo East for a start.

If you mean trailers that resemble the Manley try looking at Ruger trailers in Colorado or To Extreme Offroad in Kansas
