I've been using on & off for over 20 years a M416 trailer.
Different RTT, no RTT, bike kayak hauler, its been from MX to Alaska
    Best built trailers out there.
    The Pintel can't be beat

Hinged hard top... old picture, before wheel and tent change.

Yeah, the gas strut assisted hinged lid is one of my favorite aspects of this trailer. When I switched from the Mumbasa tent to the CVT Rainier Summit, there was a considerable weight gain and the shocks would no longer hold the top open. Losing that functionality really sucked (crawling into the front). I've since swapped the (2) 200lb shocks for (2) 350 lb shocks and she now opens like a dream.

I intend to put a taller rack on the top for the tent, so I can fit my kayak below. Hopefully the shocks still support the extra rack steel. I'll probably add some additional hinges to help support the additional load and leverage.

Where is a good place to find one of these small M trailers? Assuming they are usually used and not new?

Anyone here have experience with Black Series pop up trailers? They look great, and I cannot find and recent US reviews.

Westin outdoors man winch brush guard, custom switch board, Custom machined tow hooks, 255/85/r16 tires, trd shocks and struts, oba in bed cubby, ladder rack, JDUB skid plate
I also am interested in going this route, except I was going to get a pop-up and swap the axle to a beefier one with a 6 on 5.5 hub pattern.

If I was to do it again I would buy one of those pop up a frame campers, lift it, and put it on some 6x5.5 axles. This thing is a parachute to drag around

Yes, I’ve been trying to determine the sizes and think M100 is what I’m looking for. I like the CVT, Smittybilt, Manly and those like that. I’m wanting to put my RTT on that and free up the bed for bikes and other stuff. I’m more than likely going to have to buy pre-made because I’m not a welder or have access to those skilled people :(

m100 and m416 are the same thing only difference from what i can see is the fenders

    m100 is round fenders
    m416 is boxy
m101 is massive its a full size trailer

i cant weld either man but i have people that know how to also you can find trailer places and normally they can help out

buuut if you find one in great shape you wont need to weld anything tbh you can buy bolt on racks and tops for these trailers so the only welding you would need to do is probably doing a new hitch setup

Thanks for that...I was searching for a 416 because I like the box fenders but found one 2 hours away and in rough shape. They wanted $2k and I struggle to pay that for the shape it’s in. Looks like an old Dodge w/all the rust and cancer. o_O
