I actually ran back into them while looking for somewhere else to go. Then I had to leave anyways.

Fun time though! Sucks about Corral Canyon being closed. I can't believe how unreliable their phone system is...

That border patrol check point sucked. took forever. Did you see the traffic at the sunrise highway. Glad I wasn't going up there.

I think it was because the CHP was making people chain up and I bet 95% of the people didn't have chains.

We came, we saw, we were LOCKED OUT !! I guess I get that CDF wanted things to dry out a little but those bastards could've put their barracade a little closer to the entrance , but since there WASN'T ONE AT ALL !!!! They saw to it that we went all the way up to the locked gate leading into 4 corners staging area with a real piss-poor place to turn a half dozen (or more) rigs around , SOOOOOO we left there & headed east to the big BP station off old 80 & hit another trail that was starting to get fun when 3/4 way up it when 2 rather large boulders about 1/3 the size of my truck each had slid down & blocked our way, SOOO , with a little grunting & a couple of straps hooked to the front we managed to get the bigger one out of the way enough to keep going. Then we hit another short run off of La Posta truck trail & finally, we made the run up the hill to the glider port & ran into Derek, who was already there. We watched a couple of hang gliders make just an awesome take off (you wait for the right wind direction & start running for the fucking edge of the mountain, jump & if it all goes right you fly,if not , well you get the idea,) yeah it sucked big time that Corral was closed but we did find a few little trails & all in all it was a good day.. We'll just have to hit it again & MAJOR PROPS to those guys in the fully locked jeeps that went to the end of the glider port trail, they got thru some serious washouts.......

Oh yeah , one of these hang gliders has gone from the start point where we were at , ALL THE WAY TO PALM SPRINGS !! Fucking amazing

Well I wasn't too happy about CC thing, but I still had a fun. Big thanks to Doug and his knowledge about local roads. We were able to find some trails, but I guess it was some bad luck today. The first trail we hit were blocked with a huge boulders. Then we got lucky and with the use of men power and Toyota power we were able to clear off just enough to squeeze through that spat. Then we went back on highway 80, and found another trail that took us to the top of the Glider Hill with some nice views. Overall it was a good time.

Adapt, overcome ,and keep pushing thru That's what we did today. CC would've been fun but whatever!!! It was too beautiful of a day to go back on sit on my ass at home. I just wanted to kick up some mud and do it with cool peoples.

Getting around those boulders was pretty bad...I was more nervous of what my old lady would say IF I came home with a huge dent on the side of my truck . It was cool meetin all y'all today...gotta do it again soon.

1 good pic of me and Silver06 (sorry dude I forgot your name bro)

I want some real mud, not puddles. :D

I liked that trail up to the glider port. There wasn't a ton of mud, but it was enough. :D

But yeah I want more, I'd probably be down!

The glidre port trail was cool but kind of short IMO but there was some good mud.

Well, Pine Valley has got some decent mud. I like Pine Valley a lot, but it's an easy trail.

Corral Canyon has some good mud, too.

I've only been to PV once and it's ok but like you said it is too easy. CC would be better but you think it will be open due to the storm this week?
How about the Otay Truck Trail?

The Otay trail is easy, too. It's still fun though.

Hopefully Corral Canyon will be open soon...
