Where I live, they had a bow hunt to cull some of the insane numbers of deer.subsequently a bunch of idiots started protesting the hunt and putting up signs to save the deer! I usually shoot 2 or 3 deer a year and of course eat em, way I look at it I should be given a major award :bananadance:

I hit a similar sized deer in 2013 at 55 MPH. They were able to fix the hood and fenders- very minimal damage. They're not perfect, but good enough for me and you wouldn't notice unless you really stared at it from 2 feet. The repair was just over $5k. The AC still worked, but the condenser was damaged so that was changed. Both headlamps, grille, bumper, horns, AC condenser, paint the front doors, fender, hood.... 8 years later, plus a hood, and that'll probably be $10k

edit- oops! I see you said ~$10k :)

We have goat and pig problems on Hawaii Island. Plenty people hunt everywhere. Saw a guy driving round the golf course here with a Polaris and 3-4 hunting dogs.

@GorgeRunner You get used to the smell of dead pig on the side of the road here, hunters choice is the Tacoma over here :)

Up on the mountains the state fly around in helicopters picking off the goats with rifles to cull them.
