Well, I just found out that my Dog has a tumer. Its growing, and the Vet. thinks it could be cancer. For those that dont know, My Dog has been fighting a horrible immune disease her whole life. We have gotten a grip on it, and she has lived 8 years longer than vets have thought. Now this. The Vet. says that in her condition, an opperation to remove it is going to cause more harm than good. He also said that the Tumer isnt affecting her, as far as hurting her. BUT, its growing, and there is NOTHING they can do. Im am from the school that there is ALWAYS something that can be done, so Im finding it very hard to swallow this info. Thanks, had to vent.

Have you looked into holistic treatments? Like acupuncture and such? I know one vet around here (for lack of a better explanation) feels the energy from the pet to "feel" what's wrong and "talks" to the animal somehow. I'm not explaining it well, but he laid his hands on one of our cats, sorta went into a trance, mumbled a bit to himself, and told us she had a REALLY bad case of worms. She was sneezing ALL the time and coughing and hacking, but we saw no evidence of worms in her stool or the litter box. We put her on de-worming like he recommended and the sneezing/coughing stopped shortly after we started the treatment. He had told us she was having an allergic reaction to the worms.

Then there was an animal hospital I had to wire for Ethernet at my last job and I noticed they had info about acupuncture on the walls.

So there ARE alternatives out there people are exploring, and many have better results than "traditional" western medicine.

    Either way, good luck man!

I went through this twice, same dog. It was non cancerous both times, but that didn't matter. They said operate, so they operated. In the end it turned out to be renal failure. (Kidney) I could have paid a thousand dollars for one more month with my dog but she was in pain, and her pain wasn't going to ease mine. We all know., when we get pets, we have the ultimate control over their fate, just make it easy and as painless as possible as you can, that is what we owe them. I'm a man and I can honestly say that I loved my dog, because she loved me. Mans Best Friend, yes. I hope there is a rainbow bridge. RiP Daisy Girl Kevin

Hey Chris that's sad for sure. But Molly isn't worried about it and isn't hurting, try and think of that. She's just happy to be with her favorite people..

But you're hurting and she sees that. Smile and act like nothing is wrong around her, let her be happy.

It's all I could do when my best friend critter got really sick.
