My 2012 Toyota Tacoma clanked out in 2WD doing a burnout, put it in 4wd and after driving for a bit it clanked out again, locking up and bogging down. What parts do I need to replace? It won’t move at all but the drivetrain still spins.

Poor description but sounds like you lunched the rear end.

Sounds like a Transfer Case or Transmissions issue?

Typically the ring gear on the rear diff likes to set sail.

First step is visual inspection under the truck. Front to back.

Pop the hood and remove the oil cap
Park a new truck underneath it
    Re-install oil cap

If drive shaft spins and you are not moving you toasted the rear end. Will need a rebuild. You can look for a used one if stock maybe 5–800 or you can reheat the truck quit a bit of factors but I’d say look for stock tos diff as it seems this is a stock rear end.

What’s odd, and maybe even worse.
OP says he drove it in 4WD until it “clanked out” again.

I don’t know, but it doesn’t sound good.

Ok, so I don’t know how to run this website lol. But I have the ABS #1 fuse pulled+a cold air intake+ a C&L throttle controller plugged in, if that helps at all. Currently stranded and it will not go absoleutely anywhere

Absoleutely no codes shot up besides the one I already have, just the sound of the drivetrain trying it’s best with nowhere to go lol

If the truck won’t roll in Neutral, call a tow truck.
That’s the best I can offer.

    Define "clanked out".

Could be as simple as a busted U-Joint. But you're probably not that lucky.

Like made a loud noise doing a burnout, I thought it was a friend shutting the door. When I was driving in 4wd it bogged downs and now I cannot go anywhere and have no gears, however the drive shaft is still spinning.

Then I’d say @Bishop84 called it.
