    Good luck getting a discount...
These trucks aren't like other models with "end of the year closeouts". At least not in my area.

When I was shopping for my '17, the only discount I got for a 16 was 500 off, and the only inferno on orange stitching interior was about 400 miles away too. No thanks.

The current national sales rate is about 650 Tacomas per day. How did you come up with 874 in your area? Dealers numbers can mean they are on the lot or that represents their total allocation for the year or they have access to vehicles from other dealers.

Depending where you are a small discount is possible, and in some areas full sticker is the norm. In any case Toyota just invested $150 million to increase Tacoma production, shelling out $150M, then offering massive discounts doesn't make sense.

I got $4K off sticker. All depends on where you live, the dealership, what time of month, etc. There are great deals to be had on 17s right now. I would offer 10% below MSRP and just walk out. Tell them you are 100% committed to buying if they hit that number. Show them a bank statement with your down payment and a print out of your credit score from Experian. They will know you are serious. They would rather make $750 bucks than nothing.

You got that right. Maybe if it was a Chevy you'd have a shot at a discount but I don't ever recall seeing Tacomas discounted at the end of the year.
