True I do hold onto the wheel in an oh shit situation i jut get ocd about having it on one side. I also have tendinitis in both of my elbows and there really isn't a good place to put my left elbow (I tend to drive one handed). When I put it down on the little sill it separates my elbow in exactly the wrong spot

I saw the oh shit handle on a toyota parts website...so check there

i think the harder part is going to be finding the trim piece that is made for the handle...

subscribed! (I really want this too!)

I believe the 2001 Tacoma's are the only ones in the 2001-2004 range that did not have the driver side Oh Shit handle.

I defenetly have on in my 04 too. Don't use it much but cool its in there. Why not call around to junkyards. 01-04 drivers or passangers side are probably the same part. *shrug it'd be cheap that way too. Then if its a u pull it go ahead and grab some replacement bulbs and supers and put em in ur pants.

Yeah shit sucks. Both of the humoral heads in my shoulders are also developing tendinitis but thankfully therapy has helped alot. Nothing like 30 volts of arm twitching fun twice a week!

Do you remember which Toyota parts website? It seems there are quite a few that I've already searched with no real results

Pretty sure u'd need the plastic column between the windshield and drivers side window too.

Heck, my '95.5 has one!

I love it, and use it all the time. Getting in and out is nice, as well as just driving around holding it. Good choice getting one OP.
