Nahh, remember I went on an excursion earlier looking for the right size bolts? I spose I could be back out in the garage working on it right now but... I've been drinking and my makeshift power drill turned angle grinder with a bolt nut washer and cutoff wheel is somewhat sketchy.. Let's just say it demands 100% attention to detail and sobriety.

I would, but I can't be bothered driving up to Delaware for it. Thank you for the offer! I tell you what, if the drill cutter fails tomorrow I'll take you up on it (assuming I'm still alive of course!)

On a different note, I'm looking into getting a CB. I'll probably go with the Uniden 520xl, but I can't decide on antenna. I don't really wanna blow a wad of money.. but there's options. Options, options. I could do hood mount on driver's side. I could get the adapter/splitter that allows you to run CB and radio through one antenna in stock location on the passenger's side. I could have an antenna on the rear bumper, I could drill into the roof... decisions. Any thoughts?

I thought about drilling into my roof but not too much of a fan of possible leaks. My mag mount has been great.. I'll do the hoof mount for my HAM.

Separate hood mount should yield best performance. Next would be a bed mount. Once you get that figured out go to right channel radio and get their new antenna kit. Comes with choice of firestick, cable, mount, and something else. It's a good deal.

Roof mount is the best ground plane on our trucks, that being said its the worst place for an antenna if you are riding with low hanging branches. You could put a wilson mag mount on there, and move it when branches attack. Hood is a solid option, much better ground plane than the bed or bumpers.
