Well, I went and picked up something with better gas mileage than the 17 mpg I am getting with the truck. Our last road trip was over 350 miles and averaged 45 mpgs. Saves me over $120/month depending on gas prices!

Added to the fleet. Truck has been paid off for a few years and this one is a '16 with 30k miles. Almost no get-up and go at the low end, but that's what you get from a 1.5L.

That's amazing that you got that good of gas mileage. Was it downhill the whole way?

Mine is a 6 speed manual I think that helps a lot. Plus every time we go downhill I just leave it in neutral an let it roll

It's tough having a good fuel mileage car in the fleet. I love driving my Taco around everywhere but My wife's 2016 Accord V6 gets nearly 39 mpg on the highway if i'm easy on it. It's also quick enough to jump on Route 8 during rush hour!

I agree. The Civic has no testicles from a dead stop, so much that I hesitate making left turns across traffic, shooting the gap. The Taco's throttle response and HP is definitely faster. But when the Civic is moving it really is a fun car to drive and can get up to speed quick when it's already moving. I HATE that it's a CVT. I wanted a manual, but the wife can't drive stick... pun intended.

Right there with ya. I was leasing a 15 civic before i bought the taco and also bought the accord. That civic couldnt get out of it's own way. Luckily the Accord can easily get moving and can even do laps around my Taco (also a v6) I told the wife we're not getting a CVT in anything. So we got the 6spd auto with the v6 on the accord.
